Okay, I'm going to say one last thing and then I'm over it.
The other day a Bishop in Australia made the comment that World Youth Day should be a celebration of Christian values and that it is a shame that some people had to "dwell Crankily on past events".
Who the hell do you think you are Bishop Anthony Fisher? The people he was referring to, are the parents of two girls who were repeatedly raped in primary school by a catholic priest. One sister has since committed suicide, the other lives a difficult life after a serious accident left her partially paralysed.
The parents of these girls, insist on being heard by the pope and hearing an apology from him. I suppose it is rude of them to bring up things from the past when the church just wants to put the whole thing behind it. No wonder the Catholic Church is so out of touch.
How rude, how very rude of those people to dwell crankilly on past issues, like the rape of their two beautiful little girls, during school hours, by a monster of the clergy.
How dare they.
I suggest we change two clerical terms:
- Change the word Clergyman to Pervyman
- Change the term Minister of the Church to Monster of the Church.
